How we started
Cream City Keys began as a grassroots effort in the heart of Milwaukee, where a group of local residents recognized a troubling pattern: too many neighbors were missing out on essential benefits like FoodShare and BadgerCare Plus. Inspired by a desire to create change, we gathered to find a solution that would not only address the immediate needs of our community but also foster long-term connections. Using vehicle donations as our funding mechanism, we set out to bridge the gap between Milwaukeeans and the benefits they deserve. With each donated car, we fund a free benefits-research service that connects our community with programs like Wisconsin Works and WIC.
